Very sad news.

A man in his 30s has died following a road traffic collision in Dublin.

Gardaí are investigating the fatal collision that occurred on the Mitchelstown Road in Ballycoolin on Wednesday evening (15 April) around 5pm.

The two vehicle collision involved a car and a motorcycle at the junction of Northwest Business Park.

The driver of the motorcycle was fatally injured in the collision and his body was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where a post-mortem will take place.

The driver of the car was treated at the scene by emergency services.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward. Any road users who were travelling on the Mitchelstown Road between 4.30pm and 5.30pm on Wednesday and who may have camera footage (including dash cam) is asked to make it available to Gardaí.
