Not what you want on a flight home.

A flight from Barcelona to Dublin was delayed on Monday afternoon after someone without a ticket boarded and locked themselves in the bathroom.

Multiple passengers took to social media to complain to Vueling after the flight was delayed for hours.

One tweet from a Catalonian passenger read: “We are inside the plane for flight VY8720 from Barcelona to Dublin… an undocumented passenger refused to leave the plane and took refuge in the bathroom of the plane.” He also confirmed that the Civil Guard had been called in to deal with the situation.

Other photos from the scene appear to show the Civil Guard boarding the plane. Passengers were forced to disembark before reboarding.

The flight was delayed by three hours and three minutes, and the low-cost Spanish airline Vueling acknowledged the delay on social media. In a statement on Twitter, the airline said the flight had been delayed “for operational reasons.”

The flight eventually landed at Dublin Airport today at 17:23.
