Man and a woman arrested following stabbing in Limerick

They are currently detained at Henry Street Garda Station.

A man and a woman have been arrested following a stabbing incident in Limerick on Friday.

The incident occurred around 4.30pm at a house in the Windmill Street area of Limerick city.

Gardaí received reports that a man aged in his 40s had received a stab injury following an altercation with two persons.

The man was taken to hospital with what is described as non life threatening injuries.

Gardaí arrested a man and a woman, aged in their 30s and 20s respectively, in relation to this investigation.

They are currently detained at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
