Seven people injured following two-car road collision in Meath

The incident took place on Sunday evening.

Seven people have been hospitalised following a road collision that occurred in Meath on Sunday evening, 2 January.

The incident, which involved two cars, took place on the N52 at Cassidy’s Cross in Nobber at approximately 7.20pm.

All seven people were taken to hospital, though none of their injuries have been described as life threatening.

Two men and two women aged in their 70s and 80s, a man and a woman aged in their 40s and a young child were among those injured in the collision.

They were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for treatment.

Having been closed off for a technical examination, the road has since reopened to traffic.

Investigations are ongoing.
