Some very good news on the weather front.

Met Éireann has forecasted “above normal temperatures” and plenty of sunshine next week after weeks of rain and stormy weather.

Any mist and fog from the last week is set to clear quickly on Monday morning as it will be a warm day with good spells of sunshine and just well-scattered light passing showers developing into the afternoon.

Temperatures are also set to rise to highs of 23 degrees, kicking off a week of settled conditions.

Tuesday will also be a largely dry day with warm spells of sunshine and some light showers in the afternoon.

Highest temperatures will reach between 21 to 24 degrees generally.

Wednesday will be warm and dry with long spells of sunshine and temperatures reaching between 21 to 25 degrees.

Meanwhile, conditions will remain dry and mostly sunny with highest temperatures of 21 to 25 degrees on Thursday yet again.

It will be another mostly dry and sunny day on Friday, although the odd shower may develop in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures will hit 17 to 22 degrees.

Early indications suggest that the settled spell will continue into the weekend, with mostly dry weather, though there will be some isolated showers at times.

Temperatures are likely to remain in the high teens or low twenties.
