Weather warning

The weather is back.

Ireland is set to be hit by another storm this weekend, as Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow wind warning for the entire country.

Friday is set to see some dangerous winds along coastal areas with Met Éireann warning: “Very windy on Friday with possibly storm force winds along parts of the coast.”

Issued on Wednesday morning, the weather warning will take effect from 6am on Friday (8 February) until 8pm that evening.

It’s not just the coasts that will be battered though, and all counties in the Republic of Ireland are included in the warning.

The warning does not specify advice for the six counties in Northern Ireland, despite requests last week by Sinn Féin senator Niall Ó Donnghaile that information for all of Ireland be included in Met Éireann graphics.
