Met Éireann has issued a status yellow fog warning for the entire country, starting at 6pm on Saturday evening and lasting until 9am on Sunday morning.
The weather service warned that the foggy conditions will lead to impaired visibility, and that anyone planning to drive should take extra caution.

Thousands in rural areas were forced to undergo several days without electricity for heat and light.
Many experienced water shortages and thus couldn’t make tea, shower or flush toilets. Issues with mobile phone coverage also made it difficult for people to communicate with friends and family.
Some elderly people were left completely snowed in and isolated, with loved ones unable to get to them due to the treacherous conditions of roads.
