Following on from warnings issued on Saturday, Met Éireann has issued a number of new weather warnings on Sunday mornings.
A Status Orange rainfall warning has been issued for Cork and Waterford.
The warning was issued at 10am on Sunday and is valid from 6pm on Sunday until 6pm on Monday.
Heavy rain Sunday night and Monday will result in large rainfall amounts causing hazardous driving conditions, with flooding possible in some areas.
There’s also a Status Yellow rainfall in place for Kilkenny, Wexford, Kerry, Limerick and Tipperary which is valid during the same period. There’s a risk of flooding in the southern areas of these counties.
Meanwhile, there’s a Status Yellow wind warning in place for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Cork, Kerry, Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Wicklow, Offaly, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford.
These warnings are valid from 2am on Monday morning and will expire on Monday evening.
