Met Éireann has issued a thunderstorm warning for six counties

Take note.

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for six counties.

The warning covers Clare, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford, Cork and Kerry.

It was issued on Saturday afternoon and is valid from 2pm on Saturday until 10pm on Saturday night.

Met Éireann has warned of clusters of slow moving thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon and early evening bringing lightning activity and local downpours.

Heavy showers will also mean there’s a risk of spot flooding in some areas.
