Tony Cuddihy

The warning is in effect until midnight.

Met Éireann have issued yet another snow and ice warning as temperatures remain in the low single digits across the country.

The second snow and ice warning inside 24 hours was issued between 4am on Tuesday morning and midnight, with commuters told to be careful on the way to and from work.

The west and north of the country are expected to be the worst affected, with Met Éireann expecting it to be “cold, bright and breezy” across the country.

Forecasters have warned about the dangers of slippery roads and paths in quieter areas that have not been treated.
