The sunshine enjoyed lately in Ireland looks set to continue, however, a significant drop in temperature is expected, Met Eireann have said.
In some regions of the country, there could be showers of snow or sleet.
However, many people will be happy to hear that St Patrick's Day weekend is expected to remain bright and sunny.
Temperatures are expected to remain warm today, reaching heights of 15 degrees, however, the nighttime will see a major drop off.
Monday night will see temperatures drop as low as -1 degrees, which will see frost emerge in the north of the country.
Tuesday is expected to be dry with sunny spells but temperatures will range from 6 to 8 degrees. Showers are expected in Ulster.
Those scattered showers - some possibly wintry - will then move southwards on Tuesday night as temperatures are expected to land between 0 and 4 degrees.
Wednesday is expected to have the worst weather of the week with cold and breezy conditions. Scattered showers remain with potential for wintry conditions on some hills in the east and north.
Temperatures will reach between 5 to 8 degrees, as frost is expected at night with temperatures dropping as low as -1 degrees in some areas.
Thursday and Friday will be cool and dry with potentially some wintry showers in the north and east of the country. Temperatures ranging from 6 to 9 degrees, and again the night will see a drop.
Temperatures on Friday night in particular will be cold, ranging from -2 to 0 degrees.
The weekend is expected to be dry with sunny spells as temperatures range from 7 to 10 degrees. Nighttime will see colder conditions with frost and some patches of mist and fog.
