Tonight's meteor shower is set to be spectacular with a shooting star expected every minute.
That means everyone is 20 times more likely to see a shooting star tonight than on any other night, so borrow the binoculars of your grandpa and keep watch after dusk.
Editor of Astronomy Ireland's magazine Dave Moore told Newstalk we should be able to see shooting stars all this week and the organisation is asking people to count how many they see and record it as it can help them with their research.
Pen and paper at the ready.
