‘It’s complicated’

Molly-Mae Hague has broken her silence after she was pictured appearing to kiss her ex, Tommy Fury, on New Year’s Eve.

The celebrity couple, who met on Love Island in 2019, shocked fans last year when they announced they were splitting up.

However, photos emerged in a number of newspapers over the festive period which appeared to show the pair sharing a kiss at a New Year’s Event.

Now, Molly-Mae has spoken about the apparent kiss for the first time, telling reporters at the launch for her new Amazon Prime series, Molly-Mae: Behind It All, that the situation is “really complicated,” the BBC reports.

When asked asked about the pictures, the 25-year-old said: “This is a whole new territory for me.

“Tommy and I, our relationship has always been in the public eye but to deal with this breakup, with millions of eyes watching, it is hard, it is complicated.”

The influencer did not confirm or deny whether the kiss had taken place or not.

Molly-Mae and Tommy, who is the brother of boxer Tyson Fury, were arguably the most famous couple to emerge from Love Island.

The couple finished second in the ITV2 show, and went on to have a daughter Bambi together and get engaged.

But in August last year, Molly-Mae shared a statement on social media revealing her relationship with Tommy had come to an end after five years.

At the launch event for the first three episodes of her fly-on-the-wall series, she denied the break-up had been a publicity stunt, saying it was “frustrating” that people had suggested this might be the case.

“I wish it was a publicity stunt, because it would be a lot easier,” she said. “Because going through all of this, with the turmoil of a breakup, has been incredibly hard.

“I do see the comments, people saying this has obviously just been done ‘to launch her brand or a publicity stunt’, it’s very painful to read because it’s real life,” she added.

“Tommy and I have a baby together, and it’s very, very real and it’s a really hard thing that we’ve both gone through in the last six months.”

The influencer said her series, which launches on Prime Video on January 17, does address the break-up and is “very honest.”

Molly-Mae: Behind It All will give fans behind-the-scenes access to Hague’s lifestyle, following her as she juggles work with being a mum to one-year-old Bambi.

“It’s not a secret that I did struggle at the start of my motherhood journey,” she said.

“It’s been an ongoing struggle for me, but right now I am in such an incredible place with being a mum and motherhood is all I could have dreamed of.”

Earlier this week, Tommy revealed his relationship with Molly-Mae came to an end because he had an alcohol addiction.

In an interview with Men’s Health, the boxer confirmed he was suffering from alcohol addiction as well as mental health issues. He told the publication that this meant he “couldn’t be the partner I wanted to be anymore.”
