A narrow majority of British people oppose a no deal Brexit.
Most Britons do not want a second EU referendum, a Sky Data poll has found.
1,021 adults took part in the survey that found 54 per cent of respondents opposed a no deal Brexit and that a similar 56 per cent opposed a second referendum.
The poll also found a dead 50/50 result on whether the UK should delay its departure from the EU. Worryingly 46 per cent of people said they were in favour of the UK leaving the EU without a deal.
In addition, the poll found 49 per cent think the UK made the correct decision to leave, while 51 per cent said the country got it wrong.
Theresa May will present an alternative to her draft withdrawal agreement to the Commons on Monday after it was defeated by the largest margin on record.
MPs like Dominic Grieve and Nick Boles have tabled amendments as part of efforts to forcibly prevent the government from taking the UK out of the EU without a deal.
