Game on…

The team at Dublin Indoor Football have officially unveiled The Soccer Dome; a unique purpose-built dome that boasts five indoor pitches.

The 100m x 50m Dome on the grounds of the Sportslink Complex in Santry stands as the largest in the country and houses five state-of-the-art pitches, including two five-a-side, two six-a-side, and Ireland’s biggest indoor football pitch, suitable for adult nine-a-side matches.

Each pitch utilises the latest form of synthetic turf technology, designed with a playing surface that simulates the response of natural grass, with no infill, sand or rubber.

“We are delighted to expand our facilities within the Soccer Dome to five indoor pitches and offer football players a new and unique alternative to outdoor play,” said Dublin Indoor Football director Patricia O’Connor.

“Our Soccer Dome provides an ideal venue to hold training and football playoffs all year round, regardless of Ireland’s unpredictable weather.

“It is also a timely launch to coincide with the addition of Sports to the secondary school curriculum.”
