The unidentified media figure is being identified as an ‘Irish Weinstein’.
Newstalk presenter Ciara Kelly has revealed details of a prominent Irish media figure and his harassment of women over a number of years.
Kelly – who presents Lunchtime Live on Newstalk – wrote a number of tweets on Saturday morning detailing her experiences, and those of other women, with the prominent figure.
She goes into some detail about her brief meetings with him and his attempts to coerce her into meeting him privately, and her recent conversation with a woman who claims that the man raped her 40 years ago.
The woman told Kelly: “I can still smell him on me.”
JOE reached out to Ciara Kelly on Saturday and she was happy for us to publish these tweets.
A woman I dont know approached me recently about a prominent man in the Irish media “He raped me 40 yrs ago. I can still smell him on me” she said visibly distressed.
