There was no winner of the €2 million jackpot, but someone in Ireland is waking up considerably better off on Thursday morning after Wednesday night’s Lotto draw.

One ticket holder managed to match five numbers and the bonus number to claim a cool €112,649, not a bad boost to the coffers heading into 2018.

The winner of that six-figure sum was one of more than 25,000 people to claim prizes on the night, with the rest claiming amounts ranging from a €3 scratch card to €1,162.

If you think you might be one of them, you better get checking your ticket to see if your numbers correspond with the ones drawn on Wednesday night, which were 17, 20, 22, 24, 25 and 40. The bonus number was 18.

There were no winners of the top prizes in the Lotto Plus 1 or Lotto Plus 2 draws, worth €500,000 and €250,000 respectively; the biggest prize claimed was the €5,000 by one ticket holder for matching five numbers and the bonus in the Lotto Plus 1 draw. More details can be found here.

Time is running out, meanwhile, for someone in Meath to claim €500,000 won in a Euromillions plus draw back in September, with the 90-day claim period coming to an end today, 28 December.

If you think you might have purchased a ticket in Kilmoon Service Station in Ashbourne on 25 September, then you better make a call to the National Lottery pronto.
