Norwegian Air come out fighting.

Who doesn’t love it when two major airlines engage in a good-natured Twitter battle? Norwegian Air have come out fighting.

Aer Lingus may have thrown some serious corporate shade at its rival after the latter announce low cost fares between Ireland and New York, tweeting,

..but the latter have come out fighting. Not only have they thanked Aer Lingus for the free advertising…

…but they’ve also dropped the mic on their Irish counterparts by insisting that there WILL be a transfer service between Stewart International Airport and Manhattan on all flights.

This is what Aer Lingus tweeted:

Nothing says passive aggressive like a full stop at the start of a tweet, after all.

Boom.

A spokesman for Norwegian Air got in touch with us to say that there were no hard feelings, and that the consumers were the real winners here.

“It’s great to see friendly banter and healthy competition between airlines – the real winners here are passengers who now have more choice and lower fares than ever before,” the Norwegian spokesperson told JOE.
