Ticketmaster cancels thousands of Oasis tickets leaving fans devastated

Fans are fuming!

However, some genuine fans say they have been left devastated after having their tickets wrongfully cancelled.

Oasis announced their reunion tour last summer but many fans failed to get tickets to the shows set to take place in July 2025 as the demand was so high.

It didn't take long for tickets to appear on resale sites though for an inflated price.

Approximately four per cent (50,000) of tickets sold appeared on resale sites after the initial ticket release.

Live Nation and SJM revealed in a statement last year that any tickets sold through secondary sites would be cancelled and resold.

The statement read: "Ticket resale is permitted at no more than the price you paid (face value + booking fees).

"Please only use the official resale partners Twickets and Ticketmaster. Selling tickets through unauthorised resale platforms will breach these T&Cs and those tickets may be cancelled."

Oasis also posted on social media at the time saying: "We have noticed people attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market since the start of the pre-sale.

"Please note, tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via Ticketmaster and Twickets. Tickets sold in breach of the terms and conditions will be cancelled by the promoters."

Now many fans have received an email telling them they are being refunded and that their tickets have been cancelled.

"Following the messaging on the artist’s social media in the run-up to the Oasis Live ’25 ticket sale, the tour’s promoters have requested the refunding of your order for the below event.

"It has been identified that bots were used to make this purchase, which violates the tour’s terms and conditions."

But several fans who received this email claimed to be genuine fans who purchased the tickets in good faith.

One fan took to social media to say: "If 2025 could actually get any worse – now I don’t even have this to look forward to any more Denying legit fans their tickets??"

While another fumed: "I just got an email saying my Oasis tickets were canceled due to bots, but it was me who purchased them with my own account and credit card. This must be an error—can you help me resolve it?"

While a third said: "Feel for the band. They employed professionals who sell their tickets and they have monumentally fucked it up. There should be a public inquiry into it."
