Offices evacuated near Dublin city centre as "derelict building set alight" on Clanbrassil Street
Major roads were closed as a result of the fire.
Three fire engines were deployed to deal with a fire just outside of Dublin city centre this afternoon. A turntable ladder was also required to put out the blaze, which started at a derelict property on Clanbrassil St on the south side of the inner-city.
Video footage from the scene shows that Leonard's Corner was closed off to traffic while emergency services deal with the fire, which began at around 4pm on Tuesday afternoon (29 October).
The roads have since reopened in both directions, and the fire has been brought under control.
A tweet from the Gardaí suggests that the building was "set alight." On Twitter, the official account of An Garda Síochána wrote: "A derelict building has been set alight." Gardaí also attended the scene.
According to the Dublin Fire Brigade "an ambulance crew from Donnybrook fire station evacuated nearby offices before the arrival of firefighters."
