The GRA have stated that they'll defer strike action meaning that the Garda strike that was planned for November 4th is off.

Earlier this evening, The Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors (AGSI) also agreed to suspended its planned strike.
Earlier this morning, the strike looked definitive as last ditch efforts at finding a resolution appeared to have failed. Garda Commissioner Noirin O'Sullivan provided an update this evening which stated that Garda would be assigned to every part of the country, despite the fact that only 78 stations would remain open in their contingency plans.
It appeared that the strike would occur but last minute talks at the Labour Court have proved to be fruitful with the AGSI saying that it has "gained an uplift in the income of all our members", and that the details will be balloted on.
AGSI President Antoinette Cunningham said: "A fundamental and historic wrong has been put right tonight as a direct result of the sustained four-year AGSI campaign to gain access to the Workplace Relations Commission and the Labour Court. This has always been a key part of our commitment to members and that commitment intensified in recent weeks. The AGSI have gained an uplift in the income of all our members, the details of which will be circulated to the National Executive and membership and will be subsequently balloted upon. Finally we would like to express our thanks to the Chairman and members of the Labour Court for all their assistance in resolving this dispute".
