One man fatally injured following single vehicle incident in Clare

The incident happened in the early hours of Monday morning.

One man has died following a fatal car accident in Clare.

Gardaí in Miltown Malbay are investigating the single vehicle incident which occurred at Caherogan, Miltown Malbay in County Clare at approximately 4.15am on Monday morning.

A 30-year-old male, who was sitting in the rear passenger seat, was fatally injured when the car in which he was travelling collided with a bridge.

The male driver and front seat female passenger, aged 28 and 26 respectively, were injured and have since been taken to University Hospital in Limerick.

The stretch of road is closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
