Over 600 jobs to be created in Cork, Tipperary, Carlow and Dublin

There will be 600 jobs created in Dublin, Cork, Tipperary, and Carlow by the end of the year.

RTÉ has reported the fantastic news, which will see pharmaceutical company MSD create 200 jobs in total; 110 in Carlow, 50 in Cork and 40 in Tipperary. The jobs will be in areas such as engineering, quality, commercial operations and supply chain.

Elsewhere, Dublin-based business APC Ltd plan to hire 100 new staff over the next year-and-a-half in its Cherrywood base. The position involves converting lab-developed molecules into the final product, which will be ready to sell.

Swissport Ireland Limited, who enjoyed 23% business growth last year, also plan to add 200 new employees to their staff in Dublin Airport, in the areas of; flight operations, customer service agents and ramp handlers.

Finally, Dublin City Council have granted permission to the Dalata hotel group to set up a new hotel on the old site of the Charlemont Clinic.

It is expected, thanks to a €40 million investment, that 100 jobs will be announced when the hotel is up and running by 2018.
