Paul McCartney has appeared to show his support for Johnny Depp by playing a video of the actor at his concert.
The video was played on a big screen behind the former Beatle during his Seattle show as he performed 'My Valentine.' It comes as Depp continues his bitter and protracted defamation suit against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
In the video, McCartney can be seen on stage at a piano, with a black-and-white video of Depp projected behind him.
The actor begins playing an acoustic guitar before reciting the song's lyrics in sign language. McCartney has been using the video at his concerts for almost a decade, with Depp featuring alongside Natalie Portman when the song was originally released in 2012.
Footage of the moment was shared on Instagram by philanthropist and former model Jill Vedder.

Vedder captioned the video: "Might be controversial to post this video with J.D. Don’t care, Know him only to be a gentleman.
"And while I support women and the “me too” movement, I also know some women who have destroyed the lives of innocent & good men... @johnnydepp … p.s verbal abuse is not cool either.. watch your tongue."
McCartney and Depp have been longtime friends and collaborators, with the Pirates of the Caribbean star having also starred in the singer's videos for 'Queenie Eye' and a jamming session for 'Early Days.'
McCartney also had a cameo in the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean film, Dead Men Tell No Tales.
Depp is currently suing his former wife Heard for defamation over an op-ed she wrote in 2018 in which she discussed the subject of domestic abuse.
Depp and his lawyers argue that the Washington Post piece falsely implies that Heard was physically and sexually abused by Depp while they were married from 2015 to 2017. He is seeking $50m in damages.
Heard is in turn suing her former husband, accusing him of orchestrating a "smear campaign" against her and labelling his lawsuit as a continuation of "abuse and harassment."
