The Last of Us star has been a big advocate for trans rights.
Pedro Pascal has slammed JK Rowling, calling her a “heinous loser”, following her latest anti-trans comments.
Rowling recently took to social media to celebrate the UK Supreme Court’s ruling that trans women are not legally women, which led to former Harry Potter actor Sean Biggerstaff to compare her to Andrew Tate.
Now, The Last of Us and Mandalorian star Pascal has hit out at the Scottish writer.
Pascal has long been an advocate for trans people, as he was recently snapped wearing a “Protect The Dolls” t-shirt at the London premiere of Thunderbolts on Tuesday.
Rowling, who helped fund the group that pushed for the Supreme Court’s latest ruling, took to social media to celebrate the decision with a picture of her smoking a cigar aboard a yacht.
Activist Tariq Ra’ouf responded to this image with a video in which he called on his followers to make sure that “every single thing that’s Harry Potter-related fails”, before labelling Rowling’s celebration “awful and disgusting.”
He said: “It has become our mission as the general public to make sure that every single thing that’s Harry Potter related fails…because that awful disgusting s**t, that has consequences.”
Pascal left a comment under the video, writing: “Awful disgusting S**T is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior.”
He has been a supporter of trans rights for a long time, with his sister, Lux, being transgender and having transitioned in 2021.
Pascal posted the quote “a world without trans people has never existed and never will” to his Instagram earlier this year.
Adding further to his caption, he wrote: “I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorising the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist.”
