Anyone heading Newlands Cross direction this morning might want to take an alternative route if possible, as the lights were out for some time causing an absolute traffic nightmare.
A power outage in the Clondalkin area caused the traffic lights at Newlands Cross to go down for around 30 minutes this morning, but thankfully everything is back to normal according to South Dublin County Council.

Traffic is still backed up and there are plenty of people complaining about delays on Twitter so if you’re heading that way within the next hour make sure to give yourself plenty of time…
