Pic: Gabriel Byrne really, really hates selfies and he proved it in Cork today
You'd think he'd be used of being in front of a camera...
The thing JOE has learned about selfies is that you either love them or hate them and today we learned that Irish actor Gabriel Byrne most definitely falls into the hate category following this moment in Cork this afternoon.
JOE reader Patrick Ahern was walking down Patrick Street in the city centre today when he spotted some Hollywood royalty in the shape of the Stigmata actor. Patrick is never one to let a potential photo with a famous face pass so he decided to approach Gabriel for a quick selfie and this is the result.
Patrick - delighted... Gabriel - not so much...
Patrick told us that afterwards he said "thanks and have a nice day" to Gabriel, who responded by not replying and walking away. Note to self, do not ask Gabriel Byrne for a selfie.
