Pic: Gerry Adams was discussing flatulence quite openly today

Some things are best kept to oneself Gerry

We’re not sure if Gerry Adams is talking about himself, but you know what they say, whoever smelt it dealt it.

If you happen to follow Gerry Adams on Twitter, you’ll probably know by now that he can be an entertaining enough chap at times and also that some of his posts are somewhat eccentric to say the least.

Today, Gerry came out with one of his quirkiest offerings yet, telling his 75,000 plus followers what they probably knew already, that flatulence is not the most pleasant of sensations.

One could suggest that Adams was using the phrase as a euphemism for a subject he had been posting about all morning; Enda Kenny’s failure to explain to the Dáil a number of issues surrounding former Justice Minister Alan Shatter.

He could also, on the other hand, have genuinely been expressing his disapproval about himself or others cutting the cheese in the Dáil today.

Either way, some of the responses were great…
