PIC: Look how flooded this golf course in Cork is after some very heavy rain overnight

Put the waterproofs on, be grand.

Ireland had to endure a particularly sh*tty weekend of weather in what has been a pretty sh*tty year weather-wise to date and sporting venues across the country bore the brunt of it.

We dare say there’ll be next to no golf played in Castletownbere Golf Club in Cork today, unless they’ve got a serious drainage system in place.

This was the scene on the course at approximately 8.30am this morning and in case you’re wondering, yes that is a flag in the middle of what looks like a fairly decent-sized lake.
