Zing!
As the respective political parties continue to throw barbs in one another’s direction in the run-up to the general election, you may have noticed
a rather lame shot fired by Labour in this morning’s Irish Times.
Using an old photo of One Direction with the heads of Paul Murphy, Lucinda Creighton, Gerry Adams, Micheál Martin and Shane Ross photoshopped on the bodies of Niall Horan and company, it was the subject of a fair bit of p*ss-taking when circulated on social media last night and this morning.
One of the heads involved in the ad, Lucinda Creighton, had a cracking response to the ad bright and early on Twitter this morning, with Labour’s dig backfiring spectacularly before it even picked up any real momentum.

Great line Lucinda, but can it just be a mere coincidence that our own Carl Kinsella
used a similar joke when reporting on the original ad this morning?

Great minds and all that, we suppose.
UPDATE: Labour have responded with a comeback of their own and it's zing-tastic.
