Leopold was always one of the sounder saints, alright.
Ireland’s postmen have form when it comes to delivering letters in the face of very little info to go on, but we like this one because of the divine intervention involved.
When the Santuario San Leopoldo Mandic Frati Cappucini (that’s a monastery) needed a letter addressed to Naas, Co. Kildare they were in such a hurry that they forgot to stick a name or an exact address on it…
Luckily, the postman knew of Philomena’s Molloy’s devotion to St. Leopold and correctly guessed exactly who the letter was meant for:
St. Leopold was clearly smiling down on Naas.
Thanks to Clare Molloy for sending this one our way.
