Pic: Satellite image shows just how little cloud is covering Ireland today

Long may it continue

Talk about a very welcome sight.

We hope this is a sign of good things to come and not just the clam before the storm. We also hope we didn’t just jinx the current sunny spell.

That’s how Irish weather works, right? Rain dances and jinxes?

Anyway, the picture comes to us from national forecasters Met Éireann and you can see the extended radar image featuring an almost completely cloud-free Ireland taken over a four-hour period on the Met Éireann website, here.

It really is a sight to behold, and it’s about bloody time.
