Approximately 11 people were said to have been injured as a result of the crash, but thankfully, none of the injuries are believed to be serious.

The crash, involving two tour buses, happened in the area around 47th Street and Seventh Avenue in Manhattan, in Times Square, one of the most popular tourist destinations in New York City and the world, earlier this afternoon.

According to the above tweet by the New York Fire Department, 11 people were treated for injuries at the scene but none of them were believed to be serious, while Irish tourist Rose Cantillon told the AP news agency that she “heard screaming” and ran.

A stretch of Seventh Avenue was closed by police following the incident while crews worked to clear up the damage caused by the collision.
