The recent storms of Frank and Desmond have taken their tolls on Ireland’s water tray and flood plains have been overloaded leading to flooding in many areas.
This photo was captured by Reddit user MeccIt in Athlone in the wake of the recent floods, and we have to say, it does a good job summing up a lot of the problems we have in terms of planning permission in Ireland.
As one user points out, the country used to be flooded with building sites, now the building sites are flooded.
