Now THIS is what sportsmanship is all about…
It has been one year since the horrific Boston Marathon bombing claimed the lives of three innocent spectators, but the painful memories didn’t stop thousands of athletes from completing the 42.195 km race around the city this year.
Unfortunately for one runner in this year’s race, the poor bloke ran out of steam just short of the finish line, but thankfully, there were a few kind souls who were more than willing to lend a hand.
Two competitors initially held up the fallen runner, but he was unable to keep moving, so another two competitors grabbed his legs and helped in lifting him across the line.
Fortunately for everyone who wasn’t there, the political journalist Wesley Lowery was able to capture the moment as it unfolded…
Runner gave out near 26 mile mark, right by the site where 1st bomb went off. 1 guy stopped to help, then another pic.twitter.com/gcwMxpssdK

But his legs just couldn’t do it. The group struggled a few feet. Another man stopped to help, and a woman pic.twitter.com/nM8FGP9Vgx

Determined, the two new saviors lifted his legs. He had just a few hundred feet to go. They would get him there pic.twitter.com/5tXvNyDGUJ
