The students of Ireland pay their respects.
The news from Berkeley sent shockwaves around the country yesterday and everyone is still coming to terms with it today.
The tragedy is also being felt in the States where thousands of Irish students are spending the summer.
One of those is JOE reader Brian Curtin who got in touch with the following message:
“Hey guys, tonight we organised a minute silence in Ocean City, Maryland with the rest of the Irish J1 students for the students that lost their lives in Berkeley.
“There was a great turnout with different individuals knowing people from the incident, we wanted to show our support to the friends and family of the deceased and injured.”
