The images provoked a strong response from many people, with a lot of debate involving the circus in question.
The Irish Times have now reported that seven people have been arrested after protests in Tallaght against the circus in question, Circus Belly Wien.
The incident occurred at the location that the above images were captured at about 2.30pm on Wednesday (March 23) afternoon, before gardaí arrived at the scene.
With The National Animal Rights Association planning another protest on Thursday (March 24) evening, the Dublin South-West TD Paul Murphy has asked for a Garda investigation into the clashes.
