The Aurora Ireland Twitter account reported sightings in a range of locations from Waterford to Donegal and some of the pictures that emerged were truly stunning.
Kenneth McDonagh (check out more of Kenneth’s work here) sent us in the pictures below, taken of Donegal Bay from Rossnowlagh Beach at around 11.30pm last night.
Conor Ledwith (see more of Conor’s work here), meanwhile, took these beautiful pictures of the Aurora over Lough Corrib in Galway at approximately 9pm last night.
With a solar eclipse on the way on Friday (don’t say you’d forgotten) it’s certainly an exciting time for Irish stargazers at the moment.
