Here's hoping the humans Michael encountered were a little friendlier.

Nobody ever said political canvassing was easy and almost every politician is bound to encounter a little hostility while seeking out votes on the campaign trail in the run-up to the General Election. Most politicians get away with having to put up with a barbed comment or two, but Michael Ring suffered physical harm while canvassing in Mayo last night and he had the scars to show for it. Thankfully, Michael wasn’t the victim of a physical assault or anything like that, but he did get bitten a couple of times by a dog while on the campaign trail in Geesala and showed off his scars to RTE’s Eileen Magnier earlier today. https://twitter.com/EileenMagnier/status/699578258464100352 ringbites A woof night for Michael, eh? *JOE goes to get coat
