The much in demand drink will only be available for a limited time though…

Supermarket chain Aldi has announced that it will be stocking the popular drink brand Prime across its Irish stores from next week.

Also known as Prime Hydration, the product is the brainchild of famous YouTube stars KSI and Logan Paul. It has become a viral sensation since launching last year, with previous reports of chaotic scenes in some UK shops as people tried to get their hands on limited bottles of the drink.

In a statement on Friday (21 July), Aldi said Prime will be available to buy at the chain’s 160 Irish stores from 27 July for a “limited time only”. Costing €2.99 per 500 ml bottle, two of the drink’s signature flavours will be available – Blue Raspberry and Ice Pop.

“This drink is an Aldi Specialbuy and as with all Specialbuys – once they’re gone, they’re gone,” the supermarket said.

“The popular drink, which is 10% coconut water, contains electrolytes and promises to deliver that much needed hit of hydration. Each 500ml bottle contains zero added sugar and is 25 calories.”

Aldi also stated that it is anticipating high demand for the product. As such, it is limiting purchases to “one of each flavour per customer”.

The supermarket said that this is “to ensure that as many customers as possible get the opportunity to buy Prime Hydration”.
