Two prisoners in Fargo, North Dakota came to blows earlier this week after one inmate could no longer stand the flatulence of the other, and finally cracked under the pressure.

According to TwinCities.com, an incident took place on Monday at a medium-security facility, in which two prisoners, Ahmed Nur Ada and Timothy Lowseth, had a fight, and the latter came off the worse as a result.

It seems that Adan and Lowseth were talking next to one of their cells, when Adan hit Lowseth which knocked him to the ground and left him with a wound on his head. Prison officers stepped in to sort the situation out at that point and made sure that everyone went back to their cells and after questioning Adan, he revealed that Lowseth had been coming into his cell and farting, before leaving again, just to annoy him.

Adan further claimed that he confronted the other prisoner about it, and that’s when the fight broke out, with him striking first before Lowseth had a chance. Adan has been charged with assault, while Lowseth was taken to hospital, missing a tooth, for treatment. A cautionary tale for serial farters out there if ever there was one.
