PSNI investigating the attempted theft of another ATM in Fermanagh

The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The PSNI are investigating the attempted theft of an ATM in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning in Scaffog on the Sligo Rd in Enniskillen.

The PSNI said were they alerted to the incident at around 5.20am on Thursday; police responded to the incident, but when they arrived at the scene, two male suspects made off.

No money was taken but the ATM machine was badly damaged.

Enquiries are at an early stage.

In recent weeks, due to the frequency of ATM thefts, the PSNI have urged anyone with information to come forward.

Anyone with information in relation this incident can call detectives in Enniskillen on 101, quoting reference 170 05/09/19.

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.

The investigation comes on the same day An Garda Síochána and a number of official law enforcement agencies discovered a fuel laundering plant during a multi-county investigation into recent ATM thefts.
