The 95-year-old monarch is receiving medical attention.

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II has tested positive for coronavirus.

The positive result was shared by a Buckingham Palace representative on Sunday (20 February).

“Buckingham Palace confirm that The Queen has today tested positive for Covid,” the representative said.

“Her Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week.

“She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines.”

The Queen, who recently celebrated 70 years on the throne this year, came into contact with her son Prince Charles last week, who recently tested positive for Covid.
