Take note…

Met Éireann has issued two weather warnings for a number of counties this weekend.

Firstly, a status yellow rain warning was issued for Wexford, Cork and Waterford.

This will be in place from noon on Saturday until 6pm on Sunday.

It’s expected that for the rest of today and overnight, there will be spells of heavy rain at times, especially in coastal areas with a risk of localised flooding.

And the good news doesn’t stop there…

A second weather warning, this time a status yellow thunderstorm one, has been issued for all of Munster, as well as Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Offaly, Galway, Mayo and Roscommon.

Issued on Saturday morning, this warning will be valid from 1pm until 9pm on the same day.

Met Éireann said that there is a high chance of thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon and evening, bringing localised heavy downpours, hail and localised flooding.

Great stuff…

However, other parts of Ireland are expected to see very mild, warm weather over the next couple of days.

Hot and humid weather with occasional showers is looking like the norm until Wednesday of next week.

More information and regular updates can be found on the Met Éireann website.
