Recall issued for baby's milk over the presence of fish

Make sure you don't have this in the house.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has warned that a brand of infant milk is issuing a recall on some of its products.

Hipp UK Ltd. is recalling batches of its Organic Combiotic First Infant Milk Starter Pack, as the product contains fish which is not declared on the label.

The presence of fish could make implicated batches unsafe for those who are allergic to or intolerant of fish or its constituents.

Three separate batches are affected, and can be identified by their best before dates:

  • 9th January 2020 with batch number: L-099191
  • 11th March 2020 with batch number: L-162192
  •  5th April 2020 with batch number: L-186191

The warning applies to pack sizes of 6 x 90ml bottles and teats.

The FSAI has also included a photo of the product in order to aid consumers in identifying whether or not they've got it in the home.
