Sad news.
A teenage boy who featured on RTÉ’s Room To Improve has sadly passed away following an accident.
Michael Stokes sadly passed away in Temple Street Children’s Hospital on Saturday.
The 15-year-old appeared on Room To Improve in 2016 when his former teacher Ann Higgins and her husband Barry redesigned their house to accommodate Michael’s needs. He had been fostered by the couple.
The teen also appeared on the Late Late Show earlier this year to discuss his new home.
He will repose from his home in Malahide on Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm.
His death notice read: “Removal on Wednesday to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Seabury, Malahide arriving for 10 o’clock funeral mass followed by burial in Dardistown Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Temple Street Hospital.”
