Kieran Creaven will appear in court on Friday.

The former RTÉ TV producer from Dublin, who’s been convicted of sex offences in England is due to be sentenced later today.

Kieran Creaven pleaded guilty last December to attempting to groom an under-age girl.

The man was caught on camera after he had engaged with a fake Facebook profile, set up by a group called ‘Predator Exposure’.

The Facebook profile pretended to be a 13-year-old girl. He flew over to the UK to meet her, only to be confronted by the ‘Predator Exposure’ group.

He was reported to police after he flew to Leeds to meet the young girl.

The entire confrontation was streamed via Facebook Live, during which time the group placed Creaven under citizens’ arrest.

During the video, Creaven insisted that he had no children and had reached out to this girl simply to act as a father figure.

The group dismissed these statements and claimed to be in possession of a number of explicit images sent by ‘Jimmi Cee’, which was the username Creaven is alleged to have used.

Creaven is to appear for sentencing at Leeds Crown Court later today. He was fired from his position at RTÉ.
