Ryanair has announced delays to 68 of its flights on Monday morning.
The Irish airline issued a statement on Twitter, clarifying that the delays are as a result of Air Traffic Control staff shortages in Germany, France, Italy, Greece and the United Kingdom.
The 68 flights affected account for 15% of the airline's 441 "first wave of flight departures" this Monday.
Ryanair went on to say that they "sincerely regret these unjustified delays and are doing our utmost to limit their impact on flights throughout the rest of the day. Customers on impact flights have been notified by SMS text and email."

The disruption is a continuation of a problem that has dogged European travel for the past week. Yesterday, Ryanair called on the EU Commission and several European governments to intervene and "eliminate these ATC staff shortages."
They have blamed the staff shortages for "disrupting millions of Europe's consumers this summer."
