Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher donate a staggering amount of money to help Syrian refugees

This is beyond generous

Sacha Baron Cohen and his wife Isla Fisher are donating $1m to help those affected by the Syrian conflict.

The massive gesture will see the Borat actor and the Australian actress give $500,000 to Save the Children to fund measles vaccinations for children in northern Syria.

They will then give the same amount again to the International Rescue Committee (IRC) to aid refugees in Syria and neighbouring countries, particularly women and children, with health care, shelter and sanitation.

“By allowing us to make their generous donation to Syrian children public, Sacha and Isla are helping highlight the tragedy of the issue today,” said Justin Forsyth, chief executive of Save the Children.

Forsyth added that the couple’s gesture will “save many thousands of lives and protect some of the most vulnerable children.”
