A school bus was involved in a collision with a car in Limerick on Wednesday morning.
The crash occurred on the R513 road between Herbertstown and Caherline, which has been closed until further notice. Local diversions are in place.

We have several City & County Fire Crews in attendance at a multi vehicle collision at Connelly’s Cross, Caherconlish. Several @HSELive Ambulance, Gardai & Medivac112 also in attendance.

It is believed that approximately 40 students were on their way to John the Baptist secondary school in the village of Hospital when the crash took place.
A number of students were taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment; the extent of the injuries are unknown but are believed to be minor in nature.
The drivers of both vehicles have also been taken to hospital.
Gardaí, units of the Limerick Fire Brigade and emergency services are attending the scene.
